Speaker: Dr. Jesús Esarte, Automotive and Mechatronics Foundation, Department of Fluid Mechanics.
Jesús Esarte was born in Pamplona, Navarra. He is currently Principal Investigator at the Automotive and Mechatronics Foundation. He is an International Doctor in Thermal Industrial Engineering (2017) from the UPV / EHU, Visiting Researcher at the NEDO Laboratory of the University of Cardiff (Jan.2003-Dec.2004), Associate Professor in the Department of Thermodynamics-Energy of the UPNa ( 1998-2002). He currently has 18 JCR articles, 2 book chapters and more than 30 presentations at international research conferences. He has led and participated in more than 20 national and international research projects in the field of: Energy Efficiency, Refrigeration Technologies, Thermal Energy Storage and CFD Simulation.
He is a member of the scientific committee of the Heat Powered Cycles congress and co-organizer of HPC 2022.
He has extensive experience in the development of industrial innovation projects. In these, his performance has ranged from needs analysis, project planning to technical execution. Likewise, he has experience in technological assistance to companies in the face of the need to face new innovation challenges.
The efficiency of electrical inverters is closely linked to the temperature that is reached in them. As electronics get smaller, cooling becomes more complex requiring more efficient cooling technologies as well as the use of new semiconductors. The objective of the seminar is to make visible the importance of thermal management in renewable conversion systems as a key element in the optimization of renewable resources. Likewise, a review is made regarding the most appropriate refrigeration technologies.
Topics such as:
1-Energy overview
2-Energy efficiency as a key element in sustainability and decarbonisation.
3-Cooling technologies
